Here's
a thought, A great way of reducing the impact of global
warming is to plant trees! The govt. should acquire
at least one field from every farmer and plant deciduous
(not evergreen) woodland! Instant carbon dioxide addicts
- young trees that is! Perhaps this could be extended
to the profit mongering food producers who produce so
much food they flush it down the pan, plant trees instead
- is it that hard? I suspect that the will at higher
government isn't there, just not there..
Or
Perhaps they'd rather see us suffocate or boil than
realise that we've cut down too many trees; trees are
the lungs of the world - not a marketable product! They
help stabilise the climate and absorb liquid to make
the ground more stable - reducing landslides and the
like. They also have the added effect of increasing
bio-diversity, stopping localised extinctions. So remember
we can live without wooden tables and floors, but we
can't live without air!
